Average Joe Takes Over

Let me start with what the Average Joe site is not. It is not a stock recommendation site. It is not somewhere where you can learn to get rich quick. And it is most certainly not intended for readers that lack a sense of humor.

The Average Joe Investor is written by Matt Koppenheffer, an individual investor himself and a contributing writer for The Motley Fool website (you can find his archived Fool articles here). While The Average Joe site does contain some news analysis and specific stock analysis, it is intended for educational purposes only -- the goal of the blog is to help investors better understand how to approach investing.

As you may have noticed, the site has been certified by Seeking Alpha. I have been given the gold certification by Seeking Alpha because I have agreed to hold my blog accountable to Seeking Alpha's full compliance standards, including, among other things, disclosure of all positions in stocks that I write about. You can read more about Seeking Alpha's certification standards here.

So I hope that the content here can help some of the readers get a better grasp on the crazy world of investing and have some fun doing it. Don't be shy -- feel free to comment, even if you completely disagree with me (I have a thick skin) and you can also reach me via email.

I am surprised no one has posted a comment yet -- this is really a great site and I enjoy your simplified writing style; you add value and are up front with everyone.

The piece you did on RACK several months ago (April 14th) was a real gem!

I miss seeing your work at SeekingAlpha, FYI. Best wishes........
